Forensic Science Seminar Series Features "The Art and Science of
Forensic Toxicology" on 21 September

A free public lecture titled "The Art and Science of Forensic
Toxicology" will be given on 21 September 2009 by Barry K. Logan, the
director of toxicological and forensic services at the NMS Labs in
Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Logan is a leading international
authority on forensic toxicology with specific interests in
postmortem toxicology and alcohol-impaired and drug-impaired drivers.

The event is the third of four lectures in the fall 2009 Forensic
Science Seminar Series. This lecture will begin at 12:10 pm in 111
Wartik Laboratory on the Penn State University Park Campus.

Forensic Science Seminar Series Features "Forensic Science...What's
Involved?" on 28 September

A free public lecture titled "Forensic Science...What's Involved?"
will be given on 28 September 2009 by Michael P. Rickenbach, the
manager of the forensic chemisty unit at the Federal Bureau of
Investigation Laboratory. Rickenbach has managed cases involving
chemical-threat agents and other potential weapons of mass
destruction, and he has coordinated research efforts within the
counter-terrorism field.

The event is the final of four lectures in the fall 2009 Forensic
Science Seminar Series. This lecture will begin at 12:10 pm in 111
Wartik Laboratory on the Penn State University Park Campus.
